Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are among the most common type of capacitor used in electronics and are used in a variety of applications. ECA-1EHG471 by Nihon Inter Electronics Corp is one of the industry leading aluminum electrolytic capacitors with a very small physical size, excellent temperature stability and high ripple current capability. The capacitor is constructed with two layers of aluminum foil plates, one of which is coated with an electrolyte, and and an insulator, usually Paper or Polyester, separating the two. In between, a layer of non-conductive material provides a medium bridge between the two plates. This bridge is filled with a liquid electrolyte which is an ionic conductor, and allows charge movement through it. The capacitance of the capacitor is determined by the amount of charge stored in this electrolyte, which in turn is affected by the temperature, voltage and applied pressure on the capacitor.

The ECA-1EHG471 aluminum electrolytic capacitor from Nihon Inter Electronics Corp is available in the physically small EIA R-37-1403 case size. It is a radial-lead, snap-in type capacitor with a 5mm lead spacing, making it ideal for use in circuit boards or other applications that require a tight fit. The capacitor has a rated working voltage of 400VDC and a rated temperature range of -10°C to 70°C.
