Aluminum electrolytic capacitors (AECs) are one of the most widely used components in the electronics industry. The ECA-2WHG010 is a small, surface mount capacitor designed for use in high frequency, low voltage applications. It is a non-polarized, electrolytic capacitor and its construction consists of two electrodes separated by a dielectric. The electrodes are made of aluminum and they are covered by an insulating layer of solid electrolyte. The dielectric is made of a mixture of aluminum oxide and other inert materials.

The ECA-2WHG010 offers an excellent capacitance to volume ratio which is extremely useful in a number of electronic applications. As the ions move, an electric current is created and an electric signal is also produced. This signal is then stored as energy in the ECA-2WHG010.

The capacitance of the ECA-2WHG010 can be increased by increasing the surface area of the electrodes, which is accomplished by etching the surface of the aluminum electrodes. Etching increases the roughness and the surface area of the electrodes. This, in turn, increases the capacitance and lowers the ESR of the capacitor. The ECA-2WHG010 is a highly reliable, efficient, and cost-effective capacitor that is well suited for many applications.

Due to its low leakage current and minimal equivalent series resistance, the ECA-2WHG010 is also commonly used in circuit protection applications.
