The ECO-S1KP682DA is a type of aluminum electrolytic capacitor designed for the harsh environments of automotive, industrial, and aerospace applications. It is designed to handle temperatures from -55°C to 125°C, with a rated voltage up to 16V DC.

An electrolytic capacitor consists of two aluminum foil electrodes separated by an electrolyte composed of a mixture of aluminum oxide paste and dissolved electrolyte. The aluminum foil used is anodised or anodized, meaning that the respective electrodes are slightly etched prior to assembly. The charging current passes through the etched surface, oxidizing the electrolyte to form an aluminum oxide layer (film) on the electrodes and so forming a capacitor.

In terms of capacitance the ECO-S1KP682DA offers 10uF and 50uF versions.
