Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors
Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are non-polarized capacitors inherently consisting of an anode pre-treated aluminum foil, an electrolyte formed by a solution of boric acid and a cathode aluminum foil (separate from anode) with an insulating-paper separator between them. This arrangement resembles the electrodes of a traditional electrochemical cell, allowing for the formation of an electrical double-layer (EDL). The charge (electricity) can resist separation of the two electrodes, providing a capacitance.

Working Principle
