Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors
Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are commonly used in applications required to provide high capacitance values. The EEE-1AA221P aluminum electrolytic capacitor is a reversible multipurpose DIP package. It has a maximum voltage of 16 volts, a capacitance of 22 μF, a capacitance tolerance of ±20%, an operating temperature of -25°C to +85°C, a Size of 7.87mm x 5.8mm x 4.58mm, a Dissipation factor of 1.25, and a Leakage current of 0.050 mA. It is ideal for use in low voltage power supplies, digital cameras, audio amplifiers, recorders and wireless devices.
The EEE-1AA221P aluminum electrolytic capacitor works by using two thin layers of aluminum foil as the plates of the capacitor. The two aluminum foil plates are separated by a dielectric layer. The dielectric material is made of electrolyte with large number of ionic charges inside. When voltage is applied to the capacitor, the dielectric layer produces and stores electric charge.
