Working Principle

The EEE-FP1C100AR aluminum electrolytic capacitor utilizes aluminum foil electrodes, with a electrolyte solution acting as a dielectric. This electrolyte solution is formed when the two aluminum foils, the anode and the cathode, are exposed to the electrolytes contained in the canning material. This creates a polarized capacitor, where the anode is the positive terminal and the cathode is the negative terminal.

When the capacitor is energized, ions in the electrolyte solution transfer from the cathode to the anode and generate a charge. The amount of charge generated is proportional to the capacitance of the capacitor, which is determined by the area of the aluminium foils, their spacing, and the viscosity of the electrolyte solution.

The EEE-FP1C100AR aluminum electrolytic capacitors can handle up to 100 volts and have a rated temperature range from -30° C to +85° C. The capacitance tolerance is between ±10% and ±20%, depending on the capacitance value. The maximum leakage current is 220mA for 1,000 μF, decreasing to 5mA for 10,000 μF. The maximum ESR is 1.0 ohm, with the dissipation factor varying between 0.05 and 0.75.
