The EET-UQ2G331JA is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor designed for DC-to-DC and high-voltage AC circuit applications. Furthermore, the device has a voltage rating of 33V and an operating temperature range of -55°C to +105°C. Due to its high capacitance-voltage rating, it is suitable for use in high-voltage circuits such as those used in arc welding, induction heating, and high-voltage rectifying-regulating circuits.

The EET-UQ2G331JA works by forming an electric field between its two electrodes. This electric field is generated in two stages. In the first stage, an electric current flows through a conductive electrolyte to the two electrodes. At the same time, an amount of electrons is released at the positive electrode and is attracted to the negative electrode, forming an electric field between the two. In the second stage, the device draws the electric field between the two electrodes in order to create an electric charge.

The EET-UQ2G331JA also relies on the properties of its dielectric oxide film in order to “store” energy. When a voltage is applied to it, the film will act as an insulator, allowing the electric field between the two electrodes to increase. As the electric field increases, so does its electric charge, and this charge is stored within the device. When the voltage is removed, the stored charge will gradually dissipate over time.
