It uses a sealed aluminum electrolytic capacitor that has been specially formulated to provide long-term reliability.The construction of the EEU-ED2G100 is such that it can safely operate in hostile environments. It has a conservatively rated life expectancy of over 20000 hours at 105°C, and can withstand temperatures up to 140°C for short periods of time. Additionally, its non-solid electrolyte provides excellent frequency characteristics, high peak currents and high ripple resistance.The EEU-ED2G100 is ideal for applications where high capacitance is needed. It has a higher capacitance per unit volume than most capacitors and is capable of delivering higher voltages and currents. Its low ESR and ESL reduce audible noise and further improve frequency characteristics, while its high shock and vibration resistance make it suitable for a wide range of applications.The working principle of the EEU-ED2G100 relies on a sealed aluminum electrolytic capacitor. This capacitor consists of two plates separated by an electrolyte. When current is applied, the electrolyte is polarized and the electrical field created attracts ions, which migrate towards the opposite charged plate. electrically charged ions bond to the opposite charged plate, forming a capacitor. This process results in a high capacitance for a given volume, although the capacitance decreases with frequency. In the case of the EEU-ED2G100, the anode and cathode are formed from aluminum foil and the electrolyte is composed of a combination of organic and inorganic materials. The two aluminum foils are separated by a thin separator film, which is also coated with a dielectric medium, typically a polypropylene film. The capacitor can then be encapsulated in an epoxy molded case, which provides protection and mechanical strength to the unit. The case also serves to completely seal the internal components from the external environment.The EEU-ED2G100 is the perfect choice for a variety of applications that require high capacitance with low DC leakage current, such as DC power supplies, motors, and drive circuits.
