The EEU-FC1H100LB series consists of vertical and snap-in aluminum electrolytic capacitors with Snap-In SLB type radial leads. These capacitors feature a long life with improved heat resistance and insulation. The high grade surface mountable models offer increased electrical safety and lower mounting heights than typical capacitors. The capacitors has high reliability and noise suppression with low equivalent series resistance (ESR). They have a wide temperature range of -40 to +105°C (-40/+85°C with rated voltage 10V or less). The lead free, halogen free and RoHS compliant models of the EEU-FC1H100LB series have been tested in accordance with IEC61215 standards.

The maximum rated voltage for EEU-FC1H100LB series capacitors is 100V. The capacitance range is 10uF to 470uF, and the allowable ripple current range is 4.3 to 898mA. The capacitors meet IECQ standard & UL specification and have 20 %, 30 % and 50 % capacitance tolerance. The capacitors are highly resistant to heat and have an extended shelf life time of up to 6 years.

The working principle of EEU-FC1H100LB series capacitors is based on the principle of electrolytic action. When a voltage is applied across these capacitors, an electrolyte is decomposed by the anode into positive ionic species and oxygen molecules which are reduced at the cathode. This process creates an charge imbalance which results in current flow. This current flow is used to charge the capacitor’s plates, resulting in the storing of an electric charge.Reversing the voltage will reverse the flow of current, allowing the stored energy to be discharged.

EEU-FC1H100LB series capacitors are widely used in various power supply applications. They are frequently used as energy storage circuits in switch-mode power supplies, implemented as snubber capacitors to reduce voltage spikes caused when high-energy electronic components are switched on and off.
