Electrical energy is stored in this dielectric at the interface between the aluminum plate and the electrolyte polymer. When power is applied to the capacitor, ionic current flows in the electrolyte and electrons flow on the plates creating an electrical field. This field produces vibration on the plates, which generates energy stored in the dielectric.
