EK43703-01 Application Field and Working Principle
EK43703-01 is intended for use in a variety of Zigbee-enabled commercial and residential applications such as lighting control, remote control, home automation, energy management, telemetry, and medical monitoring fields. It is particularly suitable for excellent low-power consumption and real-time control capacity features.
It contains the NXP Semiconductors QN9080C and QN9078C Bluetooth Low Energy Systems-on-Chip (SoC) and the QN4412RF4CE radio transceiver. The operating frequency of QN9080C and QN9078 is 2.4 MHz, and the operating frequency of QN4412RF4CE is 2402 - 2480 MHz. This evaluation board also comes with an integrated design featuring a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+ core, preloaded with the Zigbee RTOS stack. It also includes integrated SYS/BIOS real-time operating system, a capacitive touch user interface library, an LCD display driver library, performance analyzers, power measurement tools, wireless protocol analyzers, and a debug interface.
The QN9080C and QN9078C come with on-board Flash memory and SRAM. The Flash memory contains the Zigbee RTOS stack pre-programmed into the system. This allows for faster development, testing, and evaluation. It also allows for an easier implementation of Zigbee-based applications from the start. The SRAM is used for storing variables, data, and code.

Additionally, the board features a pin header connector, allowing for easy connection to external hardware. This board also includes a number of on-board radio test modules, providing users with a range of diagnostic functions.
Query performance and stability of the RF signal can be monitored through the on-board Ethernet port. Data can also be transferred between the board and a laptop or desktop computer through the Ethernet port.
