Optoisolators, also known as optocouplers or optical couplers, are an important component found in a variety of electronic applications. The EL205 is a popular optoisolator that uses a transistor photovoltaic output.The EL205 is a 4-pin optoisolator featuring high insulation of up to 2500Vrms, and low coupling capacitance of 0.33pF. It operates on a supply voltage of anywhere from 4.5V to 40V, making it a very versatile optoisolator. The EL205 has a low power dissipation of only 0.3W, making it a great choice for low-power applications. It also features high isolation breakdown voltage of over 2000V.The EL205 is used in a variety of electronic applications, including motor control, security systems, industrial control and communication systems. The optoisolator is also used in automotive applications such as dashboards, fuel gauges and sensors. The EL205 is also used in data acquisition and signal processing applications.The EL205 has a working principle of providing electrical isolation between two or more circuits.
