EL207 is an optoisolator, which is a type of component used to provide electrical isolation between two circuits. It consists of a light-emitting diode (LED) coupled with a phototransistor. The generated output voltage is proportional to the intensity of the incoming light detected, thus offering a greater degree of control over the triggering of the connected circuit.
