PMIC - Gate Drivers refer to a class of integrated circuits which provide gate driving for power MOSFET and IGBT as well as voltage regulators. EL7154CNZ is among the typical and wide-used PMIC gate drivers for its higher efficiency, and better performance than others. It has wide applications in face recognition, flying control, differential sensor, user identification, secure transactions, etc.EL7154CNZ is an intelligent gate driver IC which can operate with 5V logic input and output. It integrates high-side and low-side output driver in one package, with a logic-enabled input that controls two high-side/low-side switches and two low-side switches. When the EN signal is active, the high side and low side outputs switches turn on, and the outputs rise to their respective output voltage. If the EN signal is inactive, then these switches are off and the outputs become high impedance. It also features an internal charge pump which can supply up to 20V to both the low-side and the high-side outputs.EL7154CNZ has many working principles which makes it desirable for various applications. Firstly, it has an active clamping feature which can limit peak voltage and associated ringing whenever the output is toggled. This reduces electromagnetic interference and heat dissipation. Secondly, it has an internal latch protection which can reduce the chances of parasitic turn-on. It also incorporates an Output Disable with LED Driver feature which can make the driver outputs into a low-impedance path to VSS when the device is disabled. This minimizes the power dissipation when the device is not in use.The EL7154CNZ is designed for use in automotive and industrial applications. It is particularly useful in applications such as motor drive, electric power window, solenoid, brake control, HVAC, automotive ECU and electric rear view mirror. The gate driver can be used to control bi-directional switches such as MOS-FET and IGBT which are used in automotive applications like fuel injection systems, ABS, ABS VAS and power train control.It has high speed operation with a low shutdown current for better power efficiency, and a strong latch protection feature to prevent accidental turns-on of the gate driver. Moreover, its reliable output protection features provide an ideal solution for motor drive applications which require stable, high peak current and fast response due to its low quiescent current and shutdown current of 4 uA.EL7154CNZ is a monolithic gate driver IC that provides high speed switching, efficient performance and maximum system reliability.
