RF Evaluation and Development Kits, Boards have become within the grasp of every electronics enthusiast. The EVAL-433-HH-KF-DS is a comprehensive RF Evaluation and Development Kit, Board from Silicon labs. It is a highly integrated RF transceiver which can enable low-cost wireless designs.
The EVAL-433-HH-KF-DS s is designed for the evaluation of the 433MHz frequency band and its operating frequency is 434/868/915 MHz in Europe, USA and Japan. It transmits up to 10mW output power and has selectable data rates of 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 kbps and GFSK modulation. It also has a built-in IF bandwidth filter and programmable channel filter which can effectively reduce the channel interference. In addition, it has an input/output power detection which can measure the signal strength.
The EVAL-433-HH-KF-DS is highly integrated and is a complete solution for low-cost wireless systems. It contains an integrated ARM Cortex M3 32-bit Microcontroller (MCU) that supports peripherals, an on chip memory and an 8-bit RGB digital camera which can be used to transmit images. It also contains an integrated wake-up/sleep timer that can be used to reduce power consumption. The integrated low power radio receiver and transmitter help to reduce system cost. In addition, the integrated 8-bit MCU can be used for implementing wireless protocols such as Bluetooth, Zigbee and Mesh networking.
The EVAL-433-HH-KF-DS is flexible and powerful with many features such as frequency-hopping channel selection, RSSI measurement, burst mode, AES-128 encryption, and auto-acknowledgement protocol. It has a range of up to 2000m and allows up to 64 nodes to be connected in a single network. The board supports an external UART-USB interface for host PC communication and a range of other on-board interfaces, including GPIOs, PWM, ADC, SPI, CAN, Ethernet, UART, USB and I2C that can be used to connect various external peripherals.
In addition to its low-cost and highly integrated architecture, the EVAL-433-HH-KF-DS contains a comprehensive development kit complete with IDE compiler, debugger, and other tools, which makes it suitable for low-cost wireless system development. Additionally, it contains many features that make it ideal for low-power automotive and industrial applications. These include wide range operating temperature, extended software uptime, radio special features, low power consumption, and excellent channel performance.
The EVAL-433-HH-KF-DS can be used for many different applications including Industrial Automation, Security, Monitoring and Control, Telemetry, Home Automation, Vehicle Telematics, Medical Devices, and Low Power Wireless Data Applications. It is a complete platform that enables developers to create RF wireless systems for any application.
