Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits are used to provide a simple and convenient way to evaluate and demonstrate the capabilities and features of a wide variety of electronic components. The EVAL-ADM1185EBZ is an Evaluation and Demonstration Board & Kit designed specifically to demonstrate and evaluate the features of the Analog Devices ADM1185AC/DC-DC Constant-Voltage/Current Power Supply Controllers.

The EVAL-ADM1185EBZ Evaluation and Demonstration Board& Kit includes a two-layer evaluation board, DC input cables, a heat sink compound, and an Analog Devices Embedded Evaluation Kit (ADEVK) which contains the ADM1185EC/DC-DC Constant Voltage/Current Power Supply Controllers. It also consists of various external components : an evaluation board to differentiate voltage and current ranges, 25mm x 25mm evaluation board to demonstrate output power, two 4W current sensing resistors, and two voltage balancing resistors. These external components are included to enable the user to design and develop custom solutions based on the Analog Devices ADM1185EC/DC-DC Constant Voltage/Current Power Supply Controllers.

The main purpose of the EVAL-ADM1185EBZ Evaluation and Demonstration Board & Kit is to provide a convenient platform to evaluate the features and performance of the Analog Devices ADM1185EC/DC-DC Constant Voltage/Current Power Supply Controllers. Through the intuitive graphical user interface included with the evaluation board, the user is able to interface with the device and easily configure its outputs for various operating conditions. Furthermore, the evaluation board provides a comprehensive range of electrical and digital measurement capabilities, allowing for detailed assessment of the device operation and performance.

The Analog Devices ADM1185EC/DC-DC Constant Voltage/Current Power Supply Controllers is a one-chip controller designed to regulate a DC output voltage and/or current by receiving two-step control inputs from the output device. It offers protection circuitry to protect against over-current conditions and short circuits. The EVAL-ADM1185EBZ Evaluation and Demonstration Board& Kit uses the power of two four-wire current sensing resistors to detect short-circuits and over-currents, and the two voltage balancing resistors to monitor the system and ensure balanced current regulation to the load.
