The EVAL-ADM3260MEBZ is an evaluation kit for the ADM3260 LVDS differential receiver meant for mobile and industrial applications. It is a single ended and non-inverting differential receiver which provides a high level of signal integrity and reliability over a wide operating voltage range. The EVAL-ADM3260MEBZ works on the principle of using differential signaling to create and drive various types of data, especially serial data, on a single twisted pair cable. The transmitter and/or receiver typically encode the data into couple and uncouple pairs of data waves, and send them through the twisted cable for transmission. The receiver decodes the data waves and generates data output.The EVAL-ADM3260MEBZ application field includes Network (10/100/1000 BASE-T), Automotive Ethernet, SFP+ (10 G/25 G/10 Gbps), Industrial data links, Infotainment, Automotive data links, D-Sub connectors and various other serial interface applications.The differential signaling system used in the EVAL-ADM3260MEBZ offers various advantages over other solutions such as faster data transmission, lower power consumption, improved signal integrity even in high electromagnetic interference (EMI) environments and a higher data rate capability.The EVAL-ADM3260MEBZ is based on the ADM3260, which is a non-inverting, low-voltage, differential n-channel MOSFET receiver optimized for high-speed LVDS links. It is designed to work with transmitters that comply with the TIA/EIA-644-A standard. The device is capable of supporting high data rates up to 25 Mbps and has a low power dissipation of 1mA during normal operation. It is specifically designed to work with LVDS/M-LVDS encoders/decoders, thereby allowing the use of low cost differential links such as CAT-5 cable.The EVAL-ADM3260MEBZ evaluation kit includes the ADM3260 differential receiver, along with a number of other components required for the operation of the device. It includes a power supply regulator, a resistor and a connector as well as labels and other items to configure the test setup. The kit is also supplied with several test boards to enable users to easily evaluate the EVAL-ADM3260MEBZ, along with software tools (such as TINA-Ti software – a schematic capture and circuit simulation program), allowing users to evaluate the device performance without any additional hardware.
