Introduction
The EVAL-ADXL345Z-S is a low-cost evaluation board specifically designed to evaluate the performance of the Analog Devices ADXL345Z-S accelerometer, which is a 3-axis, low-g iMEMS (Integrated Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) accelerometer that is capable of measuring up to 5 g. This evaluation board is intended to provide a convenient platform for design engineers to experiment with the features of the ADXL345Z-S accelerometer. The evaluation board uses a 0.1” pitch connector and can be connected to other boards or devices connected to “breadboards” or custom designs.Application Field

The ADXL345Z-S is a low-g accelerometer that is powered by a single 1.8 V supply and operates in a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It utilizes capacitive transduction which detects the change in capacitance as the acceleration changes, making it a MEMS device. The evaluation board\'s circuit is designed to optimize the performance of the ADXL345Z-S accelerometer by offering a low-noise and low-power signal conditioning which amplifies and filters the raw acceleration output signal.The ADXL345Z-S simultaneously samples the acceleration along three axes (x, y, and z) in order to measure gravity. The acceleration data is then processed through a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter which converts the signal into a digital output. The ADXL345Z-S can be configured in two modes, free-fall and motion detection. In order to accurately measure the acceleration, the evaluation board employs temperature compensation which can be adjusted using the settings on the board.Conclusion
