In addition, it supports a wide variety of digital interfaces, including USB, Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, JTAG, and SPI. The user has full control of the board setup and parameters via the Easy-to-Use Windows GUI.
The EVAL01-HMC935LP5E also features the HMC935LP5E IC – an ultra-low latency receiver IC with low phase inconsistencies between multiple antennas. The chip is designed to support the latest LTE standard of mobile communication, as well as the upcoming 5G standard. It provides a total bandwidth of up to 500MHz, and has a center frequency range from 2400MHz to 2700MHz. The chip supports two separate receive channels per input, which allows for the evaluation of multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) systems, and digital gain selection to give flexibility in the system design.
The working principle of the EVAL01-HMC935LP5E is simple. It is designed to receive signals over the specified bandwidth and convert them into analog outputs. The board contains various circuit components which perform the necessary functions such as filtering, amplifying, and multiplexing of the received signals.
