EVAL6668-75W is an evaluation board specifically designed for the study, design and evaluation of off-line flyback converters. This board facilitates the evaluation of the performance characteristics of 75 W flyback converters through convenient connections. EVAL6668-75W uses a 8 pin internet enabled IC, the STEVAL-6668-75W - HV2CMU, which is a high performance and cost effective IC designed for off-line flyback converters.The EVAL6668-75W board features advanced features to assist in improving the converter performance. The board supports variable frequency and variable duty cycle operation and allows for the evaluation of higher power (up to 75 W) applications. It also incorporates several advanced features such as programmable VCC undervoltage lockout protection, input voltage sensing, and overvoltage protection.The EVAL6668-75W has an integrated three-phase bridge rectifier FETs. The rectifier operates at a PST frequency in the range of 350-450KHz. The circuit also provides synchronous rectification, allowing the board to be used with a variety of topologies, including forward and flyback (push-pull) converters. The rectifier is capable of up to 800Vac input. The rectifier operates at a total loss of 1W, allowing for efficient conversion of AC input power to DC output voltage.The working principle of the EVAL6668-75W is based on the principle of electrical switching. It uses an 8 pin embedded Internet enabled IC, the STEVAL-6668-75W - HV2CMU. This IC is a high performance, cost-effective, low-cost controller IC specifically designed for off-line flyback converters. The IC allows the user to increase the efficiency of the converter by operating it in variable frequency/duty cycle mode. This mode reduces switching losses which result in higher efficiency and power savings.The IC also features advanced protection features such as programmable VCC undervoltage lockout, input voltage sensing, and overvoltage protection. The IC also has an integrated three-phase bridge rectifier FETs to increase the flexibility of the EVAL6668-75W board. The board also includes a connection for monitoring the output voltage and an Enable pin for a soft start feature.The EVAL6668-75W board is a cost-effective solution for evaluating the performance characteristics of 75 W flyback converters. It is designed to reduce the development time of power supplies and can be used for a variety of applications.
