F980J107MMAAXE is a type of tantalum capacitor, the core of which consists of tantalum and niobium capacitors that are compliant with the American Military Standard (MIL- STD-202, Method 217). The capacitor has an anode made of manganese dioxide and a cathode made of palladium silver. Together they form an electrolytic capacitor which is highly resistant to failure due to mechanical and environmental stresses. F980J107MMAAXE is a radial-lead, hermetically sealed, all-position tantalum capacitor. Its greater robustness and increased capacitance ratings enable the use of F980J107MMAAXE in many mission-critical applications. Its low-MLCC (multi-layer ceramic capacitor) equivalent looks make it ideal for metallization films and doping processes. The F980J107MMAAXE is unique for its use of manganese dioxide to form the anode and palladium silver to form the cathode. The F980J107MMAAXE has a capacitance value of 0.1 – 47 μF (μF = microfarad). It has a voltage rating of 6.3VDC-175VDC, and a dissipation factor of 3%. The device offers excellent frequency and temperature characteristics, a high breakdown voltage of up to 600Vdc, and a low ESR (equivalent series resistance). It is also RoHS compliant.
