The ratio between the ON and OFF periods during the PWM technique controls the intensity of the LED. The frequency chosen for PWMdiming determines the power consumption of the LED, which is also determined by the length of the ON/OFF pulses.

The digital audio core processor integrates into the FAN7346M which allow for special effects like stroboscope, color temperature, fade-in and fade-out, random effects, and temperature compensation. With its integrated digital audio technology, the FAN7346M gives out outstanding effects with beautiful linear dimming performance.

The FAN7346M also includes a low current standby feature to conserve power, improving the lifespan of the device. This device has been also provided with a shutdown feature that turns off the LED completely at the very beginning of the PWM cycle.
