This PMIC is ideal for a variety of LED Lighting applications including street lights, residential/industrial lighting, emergency lighting, architectural illumination and decorative lighting. The FAN7710SN is designed with an I2C interface, a thermally enhanced digital Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) dimming control and a system supervisor integration. The digital dimming control allows the lighting system to reach a range of brightness and dimming levels allowing the LED to be powered at a wide range of current and voltage levels. The integration of the system supervisor allows the system to detect and report operational status, power faults and thermal protection.The FAN7710SN also includes an integrated over-voltage protection (OVP) circuit, a five-bit precision output current scale, a programmable minimum on-time delay and multiple fault conditions reporting. The OVP circuit is designed to protect LEDs from voltage spikes and surges that can potentially damage the LEDs. This PMIC also includes an integrated voltage clamping circuit to protect LEDs from over-current faults.The FAN7710SN is a versatile PMIC offering several features such as dual digital dimming inputs, full PTAT dimming curve, configurable AC dimming/switching frequencies, a dedicated PWM duty cycle adjust input, analog frequency control and a protected synchronous rectification driving capability.
