FEBFAN302UL-T001 is an evaluation board from the manufacturer of power converter components commonly known as “DC/DC and AC/DC off-line SMPS”. This board is designed to enable the evaluation of DC/DC and AC/DC power supplies over a wide variety of performance measurements. It provides high-frequency current-mode PWM control, load current sensing, and advanced overvoltage protection in both the DC and AC/DC modes. The device operates at full load between a nominal voltage range of 9-19V DC; the AC/DC mode allows for output power of up to 6W.FEBFAN302UL-T001 is suitable for use in various types of power-conversion applications such as consumer electronics, consumer and industrial appliances, medical instrumentation, IT applications, and many other industrial environment applications. The board contains all of the components necessary to build a complete DC/DC or AC/DC off-line power supply. These components include:• A switching power supply module with current-mode PWM controller; • Feed-forward controller; • Thin-film NTC thermistor; • Overvoltage protection; • Output transistor; • Totem pole relay; • Step-down controller;• Input filter.The FEBFAN302UL-T001 board offers a wide range of features and benefits compared to other evaluation boards. It has an adjustable buck converter to allow for easy step-down or step-up of the input voltage. The board also contains an adjustable output voltage, an adjustable operating temperature range, and an adjustable operating frequency range. Additionally, the board includes a monitoring feature which allows the user to monitor the input and output voltages as well as the current measured at the output.The main purpose of FEBFAN302UL-T001 is to provide a platform to evaluate the performance characteristics of DC/DC and AC/DC power converters. This includes the ability to monitor and measure power conversion efficiency, ripple levels, and operating temperatures. The board also has features such as overvoltage protection, current limit protection, and auto-restart functionalities.The evaluation board works by using the self-driving feature of the power controller module. This feature allows the power supply to regulate the output voltage and current by measuring the voltage and current consumed by the load through the current sense circuit. The output voltage is regulated with over-voltage protection and cycle-by-cycle current limit protection. The switching power supply module then adjusts the switching frequency and duty cycle of the power controller module to ensure that the output voltage and current remain within the regulated level.By providing test points at the output, input and the current sense circuit, it\'s easy to evaluate the performance of a DC/DC or AC/DC power converter. FEBFAN302UL-T001 also provides external connections which allow for easy connection to other equipment.The evaluation board is an ideal solution for power supply engineers and designers to evaluate the performance of their DC/DC and AC/DC converters.
