Among the most common and widely used diode type is the single-diode rectifier, also known as the FGP30D-E3/73. This component is primarily designed to be used in power supply and DC regulation circuitry, as well as in motor control and general circuit protection applications.

A single-diode rectifier serves as the primary component of a power supply or voltage regulator circuit once the AC voltage is converted to DC.
