The FIN24CMLX integrates a SERDES transceiver, a deserializer, and a logic core into one package for optimal system integration and flexible architecture. The logic core enables the design of protocol-independent systems and takes care of the clock data recovery (CDR) functions. The deserializer is optimized for low latency and robust data transmission. All the main physical layers including Fibre Channel and XGXI are supported.

The transceiver is based on a fixed pattern, non-return to zero (NRZ) signaling technique. The deserializer can decode up to 16 different NRZ data streams, each with its own low-power interface. The logic core has programmable logic registers which limit the clock frequency and provide data integrity across multiple channels.
