FOD2200V

FOD2200V Working Principle

At a fundamental level, the FOD2200V device is a diode-transistor optoisolator. The internal circuit of the device consists of an LED emitter, a matched photo detector and voltage level shifting circuitry.

When a voltage is applied to the LED emitter, it emits light which is detected by the matched photo detector. This photo detector generates an electrical signal, which is amplified internally and used to drive the output transistor. The output transistor, in turn, switches the output signal on or off depending on the state of the input voltage.
