1. Describe

The FSA5157P6X is a low on-resistance, low power, single pole double throw (SPDT) analog switch. This product has been designed to switch audio signals in applications such as cell phones and portable media players. Ultra-low 0.4 impedance, sub-A current consumption, and an operating voltage range of 1.65 V to 4.3 V make this product ideal for battery-powered applications. The FSA5157P6X also features bidirectional operation and break-before-make functionality. The device is fully specified to operate at 1.8 V, 2.5 V, and 3.3 V. More and more applications require voltages to be applied to select inputs lower than the applied VCC. In this case, most switches typically draw more than 100 A. This is an unacceptable level for battery powered applications. The FSA5157 is designed to minimize current consumption in this condition. ICCT is specified as <12 A worst case at VCC = 4.3 V and VIN = 1.8 V.
