The FSDM0565REWDTU, which stands for "Field Stop Diode Module", is a three-phase AC-to-DC converter module designed for use in industrial and commercial applications. It is designed for a wide range of input voltage levels, from as low as 3.2 Vto as high as 600 V.It features a maximum rated current of 5.6 A,and a maximum output voltage of 200 V. The FSDM0565REWDTU is also configured to drive highly efficient and reliable offline switched power supplies, thus making the module suitable for both industrial and commercial applications.

Working Principle

The FSDM0565REWDTU uses a method called Field Stop Diode (FSD) circuit topology to convert AC power to DC output, for the purpose of regulating output voltage and current. FSD works by creating the resistance required for the AC-to-DC conversion by using a diode stack, which is composed of two Schottky diodes connected in opposite directions. This diode stack creates a pulsed voltage rather than a continuous voltage when under AC input. The pulsed voltage is then regulated by a high-frequency switching device placed at the module’s input. The switching device is configured to maintain the output voltage within a predetermined range, so that the output voltage remains constant regardless of the changing input voltage.Thanks to the FSD technology, the FSDM0565REWDTU is capable of achieving high efficiency and high power density, making the module suitable for high power applications―such as server and telecom DC power supplies and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). This module also features a low standby power, making it suitable for green energy and energy saving applications. Furthermore, due to its low standby power, it is also suitable for use in applications where the input voltage is highly unstable.
