FT25H16S-RT is an advanced memory product in the FRAM market. FRAM is a type of nonvolatile memory that does not have the drawbacks of Liquid Crystal displays or random access devices. It has many applications in embedded systems, and can be used for data logging in a wide variety of industrial and consumer applications.The FT25H16S-RT implements a nonvolatile ferroelectric random access memory (FRAM) using the MOSIS CMOS process. It has a 16 bit (16K) random access interface and requires only simple serial addressing for the random access memory array operations. The chip is packaged in a 44-pin MLF plastic package and uses a 32-bit LPDDR2 standard interface. The interface is compatible with the standard LPDDR1 as well as with two or four chip selects.The FT25H16S-RT is designed for data logging in embedded systems. Its write latency is extremely low, and therefore it can be used for data logging over long periods of time. The data stored in the array will not be lost in the event of power failure. It also features a built in erase/write protection function so that the protected area cannot be erased.The FT25H16S-RT also features enhanced write bandwidth, meaning that data can be written with speed and accuracy without any additional hardware or software. It can also be used for caching data that is frequently written to or read from a storage device, so that the read/write cycles can be reduced. By using this feature, it is possible to greatly reduce power consumption in embedded systems.The FT25H16S-RT also has an advanced 16 bit register interface that can be used for improved address resolution and for simplifying the writing of data. The 16 bit register interface can also be used for parameterization and configuration of the chip.The FT25H16S-RT is an advanced and versatile memory product. It can be used for data logging and for caching data in embedded systems. It features low latency, high write bandwidth and an enhanced register interface.
