GDT Application Field and Working Principle

GDT, or gas discharge tubes, are RF accessories that are used for a variety of purposes. Surge Protection Devices

The working principle for surge elimination systems is similar to the one used in surge protection devices, as GDTs are used to detect a voltage surge and ‘knock down’ or dissipate the energy before it reaches its intended target.
