GP1606HC0G is a topology-type rectifier array with parasitic diodes and bipolar transistors built on a single chip. It is the latest generation of high-performance undepleted power rectifier array. GP1606HC0G, which is an integrated power rectifier array, can convert AC input signals into DC output. It is applicable to various power conversion, such as dc-dc converter, heavy-duty power supply, portable supply, power factor correction, and resonant converter, etc. Its advantages are high voltage and high current capability, high surge capability, low junction capacitance, and fast recovery.

GP1606HC0G working principle is basically based on the series voltage-doubler circuit, which is divided into two parts, the common terminal is connected to the ground and the gate terminal is connected to the P-channel MOSFET and leakage current controlled terminal. In the power-down phase, the voltage at the gate terminal of the MOSFET is lower than the current-voltage threshold control point. The up power action is started when the P-channel MOSFET works in linear positive-conductivity region and controls the internal reverse inverter to close the output. The two power-down voltage of the charge pump is continuously increased until its voltage equals to the negative current-voltage threshold control point. At this moment the P-channel MOSFET starts its power-down phase and the output voltage is reset.

GP1606HC0G has high efficiency and good stability, meaning that in the power conversion process, the device can ensure that the voltage and current of the output are stable and balanced, and provide power supply with low power loss and high power factor; which it based on the high-frequency switching rectifier technique, meaning that in the process of power conversion taking place, less heat will be generated and the device is able to cope with high-power and high-temperature applications.
