GPVT-Y1-1 system (Gravity Potential and Velocity Transfer-Y1-1 system) has been developed for precision attitude determination, attitude control applications, and navigation requirements for spacecraft. The system utilizes a broad range of sensors, telemetry systems, and engineering algorithms to detect an absolute gravity potential – using stable gravity gradient reference data, to measure satellite velocity with respect to the inertial frame. The data from the system is used for both attitude determination and attitude control purposes.

The GPVT-Y1-1 system consists of two main components, the Gravity Gradient Reference Data Unit (GGRDU) and the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). The GGRDU takes precise measurements of gravity vectors from a fixed reference point and stores them as reference data. The IMU measures the acceleration of the satellite relative to the reference point on a continuous basis. Finally, a computer system is used to interpret the data from the GGRDU and IMU and compute the satellite\'s attitude.

Each of the measurements is subject to its own error, which is then incorporated into the calculation of the gravity vector. Thus, the attitude determination and the attitude control system are combined to accurately determine the attitude of the spacecraft.
