Optoisolators are solid-state devices used in electrical circuits and systems in order to provide electrical isolation between the input and output. The H11A3M-V is a transistor, photovoltaic output type optoisolator which features an LED emitter, a transistor output and a photoresistor optically coupled by an airgap between the emitter and detector, providing electrical isolation. This isolation allows for the two circuits to function independently of each other.

The LED emits light when a voltage is applied, which then activates the photoresistor. The photoresistor then activates the transistor, which then functions as an amplifier or switch. The activation of the transistor then switches or amplifies the input signal, providing a different output from the original input. This device allows for electrical isolation of the two circuits, as well as noise reduction.

The application of the H11A3M-V optoisolator includes digital isolating for MCU, SCU, USB and audio systems as well as for power supplies and industrial interfaces.
