Optoisolators, sometimes referred to as optical couplers, are electronic components which have the purpose of electrically isolating two circuits. They are often used to isolate low power signals from higher power circuits or to separate and protect circuits from the effects of EMI (electromagnetic interference) or power surges.The H11A617B300W is a three-pin optoisolator from Honeywell that was designed for use in industrial applications, such as motor control, medical apparatus, semiconductor test equipment and automotive applications.
