An optoisolator, or an optocoupler, is a form of electrical isolation that uses light to transmit signals. According to the type of signal transfer, they are categorized into optocouplers that use transistors, photovoltaic outputs or both for signal isolation. H11AA3SM optoisolators consist of an LED which is optically coupled with a phototransistor on a single chip. It offers reliable performance with a wide common-mode interference voltage up to 5kV/μs.
