HCPL-0454-060E Working Principle

The HCPL-0454-060E optoisolator’s working principle is based on the photovoltaic effect, which occurs when light of sufficient intensity is shone onto a semiconductor material, causing the generation of an electric current. This electric current in turn causes a change in the voltage across the photodiode, causing the electric current in the transistor circuit to be controlled.
