The device can be configured with a wide range of logic levels and has internally adjustable input thresholds and output currents.The HCPL-3100 has a nominal input supply voltage of 4.5V to 32V and a maximum output voltage of 28V. It is designed to be used in a wide temperature range, from –40°C to +85°C, and it offers a high ESD protection of 6000V HBM.The HCPL-3100’s working principle is based on opto-electromagnetic coupling, meaning that the input signals are converted into light in order to achieve the required isolation.
