HCPL2531SDVM is a new type of optoisolator developed by Hewlett-Packard. It incorporates a highspeed MOSFET transistor output with a photovoltaic cell and a direct drive LED to form a transistor-photovoltaic output optoisolator with a very fast speed. This high speed optoisolator is ideal for applications where fast optoswitches need to be used.The HCPL2531SDVM optoisolator uses a DC signal to operate the LED, which triggers the photocoupler. This photocoupler is then connected to a MOSFET transistor and both circuits are integrated to form a single optoisolator device.
