It features low power consumption, low ON resistances, and low QUIET OFF-state leakage currents. The device is typically used in applications such as signal routing, data transmission, data conversion, and analog switching.The HCT4066QPWRG4Q1 consists of four independent double-throw switches/multiplexers/demultiplexers with digital (18V CMOS) control inputs. All switches are designed with low channel-to-channel leakage, low OFF resistance (Ron), low power consumption, and high linearity on-state current. When the device is turned off, the switched path is effectively shorted.Each switch S1 through S4 consists of a common channel (analog input) and two digital input controls, S1A through S4D. The SxA and SxB inputs allow switching between Channel A and Channel B. The SxC and SxD inputs allow switching between Channel A and Channel B and GND. All control inputs are compatible with 18V CMOS logic, which allows for a wide range of logic to interface with the device.The switches S1 through S4 can operate independently, or in combination to form multiple functions. Each SxA and SxB inputs can be used to route the analog input to either Channel A or Channel B inputs; and the STxC and STxD inputs can be used to route the analog input to either Channel A or Channel B, or to GND. Switching between the channels and GND allows the user to effectively mute the analog signal being routed.The HCT4066QPWRG4Q1 can be powered from a supply voltage of 3.0V to 18V. The device is available in a 6-pin surface-mount package with 2.54mm leads and a 12-pin flat package with 1.27mm leads for ease of mounting on PCBs.The device is ideal for data transmission and data conversion applications, as the switching between channels and GND allows for the analog signal to be mute quickly and accurately. The device also provides signal isolation by preventing crosstalk and signal coupling between the common channel, Channel A, and Channel B.
