HMC439QS16G is a 4-bit, parallel-port direct-conversion cross-coupled RF detector. It employs a narrow-band sampling approach for high frequency, single-end detector applications. The HMC439QS16G\'s direct-conversion architecture offers lower power consumption, higher SNR, and an adjustable low-frequency cutoff that can be adjusted to accommodate various sampling frequency bandwidths.RF Detectors are devices used to convert a signal from radio frequency (RF) to an output signal. These detectors measure changes in the amplitude and/or phase of radio waves, as well as changes in the frequency of a radio signal. As a direct-conversion detector, the HMC439QS16G provides an accurate, real-time measurement of frequency, amplitude, and phase.The HMC439QS16G is an adjustable low-frequency cross-coupled amplifier based detector which shares the same technology as the HHMC423QS-G. This allows for the adjustment of high frequency cut-off so that the lower frequencies can be detected as well as the higher frequencies. This adjustable low-frequency cutoff along with the wide bandwidth allows for applications requiring high SNR and improved dynamic range to come into play with the HMC439SQ16G.The HMC439QS16G detector utilizes 4-bit parallel port access which allows for parellel data transfer allowing for faster results. The 4-bits of the port allow for an adjustable gain of the detector’s output signal allowing for a larger dynamic range. The HMC439QS16G is also designed to provide ESD protection for user’s safety and the protection from static discharge.The HMC439QS16G is designed for applications in fields such as medical imaging, remote sensing, navigation, defense, and communications.
