HMC7282B is an integrated multimode transceiver AdvancedTCA extension blade. This transceiver blade supports the world\'s leading SONET/SDH, Fibre Channel, Ethernet, and other technologies. HMC7282B Application Field:
HMC7282B is designed for used in AdvancedTCA (ATCA) system for communication applications. This blade provides two channels of serial data and two channels of optical data functions. The Tx side of the SERDES is responsible for transmitting data from the host system over a fiber connection. The SERDES architecture is composed of physical coding sub-layers (PCS), transmission convergence sub-layer (TCS) and physical media sub-layer (PMS). The physical coding sub-layer (PCS) provides a physical coding interface between the SERDES and the host system. The transmission convergence sub-layer (TCS) is responsible for mapping data to transmission frames and coding, which is used to encode data for transmission. The physical media sub-layer (PMS) is responsible for transforming the serial bit stream of digital data into the optical signal for transmission.
