The HMC874LC3C comparator is a single-channel, high-gain linear comparator based on a current- and voltage-independent architecture. It uses a complementary bi-directional amplifier to achieve an increased tolerance to noise, DC and AC signal sources compared with traditional linear comparators. The input common mode range encompasses the full supply voltage range and can be set to 0–5V, ±5V, 0–12V, ±12V, 0–15V, or ±15V. The output logic is open collector, providing perfect compatibility with both TTL and CMOS logic.
The HMC874LC3C comparator features a wide input common mode range, low offset voltage and low supply current for improved power savings. The input and output offset voltages are controlled with the on-chip trimming. The input bias current and output current are also controlled with the on-chip trimming. The comparator also features a wide power supply range of 2.7V to 15V, making it suitable for applications from 5V logic to 15V logic.
The HMC874LC3C has a fast response time of 1µs and low power consumption of 200mW per channel, making it ideal for applications with high-speed analog signal processing.
