The device can be programmed over a I2C interface and is suitable for system level clock tree partitioning.The ICS181M-53T is a single-chip clock generator, featuring low power consumption, high accuracy clock generation, and frequency multiplication capabilities. It offers versatile clock sources including crystal, oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) and voltage-controlled crystal oscillator (VCXO) modes. In addition, the device supports programmable output frequencies ranging from near DC outputs (zero Hz) up to 249 MHz. The device is ideal for applications requiring frequency synchronization, such as those found in industrial automation and avionics. Other applications include telecommunications, gaming, and test and measurement equipment.The device works by providing an input frequency, which can be either from an external source (e.g. a crystal oscillator) or from an internal oscillator. The ICS181M-53T then processes the input frequency and multiplies it to a user programmed output frequency. The device is capable of frequency multiplication up to 16 times.
