IPSU-GP5K8-6M12 is a pressure sensor specific for liquid pressure wave sensing. This advanced transducer mainly consists of a pressure sensor made from a semiconductor piezoelectric element, a printed circuit board, and an interface with an electrical signal output. It can detect and convert pressure waves into electric signals, outputting exact and sensitive air pressure values.

Typical applications for this pressure transducer include water treatment facilities, irrigation systems, gas monitoring systems, medical instruments, vacuum systems, clean rooms, and automotive electronics. The working principle of the IPSU-GP5K8-6M12 is based on piezoelectric sensing technology. It applies an internal piezoelectric sensor which is sealed in a silicone oil damped environment that can change its capacitance and transfer the changes into an electrical signal.

The internal capacitance diaphragm divides the sensor into two chambers specially designed to make the diaphragm vibrate. When the pressure is applied, the diaphragm is forced to move against the forces of the oil damping mechanism, thus the capacitance is changed proportionally to the applied pressure.

The IPSU-GP5K8-6M12 model has an onboard printed circuit board. This PCB takes in the capacitance signals from the internal sensor through the microcontroller and converts them into Voltage/Voltage, Current/Voltage, or Current/Current signals, depending on the chosen model. The signal is then filtered or processed to ensure further accuracy and avoid signal noise.
