The IRS21281PBF is a high side and low side driver designed to switch two terminals in a system. The rise time and fall time of the IRS-21281PBF is 160us at 5V and 250us at 3.3V.

The IRS-21281PBF operates in two modes namely the Active Mode and the Low Power Mode, both of which uses the dedicated input signal pin. In the Active Mode, the high level attributes of the output signal is independent of the input signal and in the Low Power Mode, the output signal drives the high and low levels with the same duty cycle regardless of the input signal type.

The IRS-21281PBF has two embedded protections namely, the Thermal Shut Down Protection and the Over-current Protection. The Thermal Shut Down Protection alleviates high power dissipation damage. Its operation automatically triggers the shutdown function of the P-channel MOSFET and N-channel MOSFET in the channel to prevent over-heated conditions. The Over-current Protection monitors and protects the devices from high current outputs by triggering the low power mode. In addition, the device can also detect open load conditions and short circuit conditions.
