Working Principle

IRU3037CS operates in a switching mode circuit to control the output voltage. In this way, it is different from linear voltage regulators which regulate the output voltage by controlling the current flow through a transistor. The control signal of the IRU3037CS is operated by a pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal which is also known as pulse-density modulation (PDM). The PWM signal controls the output voltage according to the power being demanded. The frequency of the PWM signal can be set to adjust the switching frequency.
