The ISL28268FUZ is a precision low-power, low-noise, rail-to-rail, single-supply instrumentation amplifier that is suited for signal conditioning applications in medical, industrial, and consumer products. It features excellent signal-to-noise ratio of 82dB, low power consumption of 1.2mW at 3V, high bandwidth of 6.7MHz at ±5V, and two wide input common mode range options. Working Principle

The ISL28268FUZ uses a unique two-stage fully differential amplifier architecture to achieve its low power consumption and high linearity. The first stage of the device includes a pair of matched, high gain, low offset voltage differential transistors (Q1 and Q2) configured in a Wilson-type feedback loop. The high-speed, wide bandwidth differential input signals VINP and VINN are coupled to the bases of these transistors through the input buffer stage, which provides the necessary current to drive the bases. An adjustable gain selection resistor is connected between the bases for selecting the gain of the device. The first stage amplifies the differential input signal, and the output is then fed to the second stage for further amplification with programmable gain.

A reference resistor network is provided on the device to generate the offset voltage in the output stage. The offset voltage is used to set the output floor to a known voltage.
