ISL3179EIUZ is an integrated universal synchronous receiver-transmitter (USRT) family produced by Intersil Corporation. The devices are available in low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) and low-voltage complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (LCMOS) formats, providing a single integrated solution for both data transmission and data reception. The devices are designed for common industrial control applications that require isolated data transmission with various fiber and twisted pair interfaces, such as, 9-bit dot-matrix printers, smart meters, and internet of things (IoT) applications. Designed for industrial and automotive environments, ISL3179EIUZ supports high speed data transmission up to 200 kHz. The ISL3179EIUZ family of devices include eight receivers, eight drivers, and eight transceivers. The receivers, which offer one of two output configurations, typical or high drive, are designed to provide high performance digital logic levels. The high drive version of the receiver provides a low-impedance output suitable for driving the CMOS and TTL loads. On the other hand, the typical drive version offers a lower output impedance which is well suited for driving the AC coupled loads. Additionally, the family also includes dense logic transceivers with 3V logic outputs as well as CMOS/TTL/LVCMOS compatible outputs.
The ISL3179EIUZ family includes single-channel devices, which provide a voltage output from the differential receiver, and dual-channel devices, which provide differential outputs from the differential receiver. The dual-channel devices incorporate two outputs from the differential receiver to provide a DIN, LVCMOS, TTL, or LVDS signal for use in a variety of applications. The single-channel devices include a 3V logic output, allowing for compatibility with both CMOS/TTL and LVDS systems. The single-channel devices are designed to deliver high reliability, low latency, and fast operation.
The transceivers in the ISL3179EIUZ family are designed to provide outstanding data protection with full EMI/RFI immunity.
