ISL43640IU is an integrated electronics device that provides analog switches, multiplexers and demultiplexers. Analog switch is a device that enables digital or analog signals to be switched from one port to another. Multiplexer (MUX) is a device which connects two or more signals in one line and outputs the appropriate signal according to the address or enable signal. Demultiplexer (DEMUX) works opposite to multiplexer, it convert the single data stream from an input line into multiple signals according to the input address. ISL43640IU is a low power, low on resistance analog switch with a max resistance of 460KOhms. It features one-to-one, one-to-multi, multi-to-one, multi-to-multi, single end and differential end switching modes, providing great flexibility and wide range application. Moreover, it has fast turn-on and turn-off time, dimension from SC-70/SOT-363 to VSSOP-8, and is available in electrical isolation packages. The input and output ports are protected from power-supply voltage spikes, with adequate ESD protection and fast recovery from short-circuit conditions. Its supply voltage can range from 2.4V ~ 5.5V, which is suitable for a wide range of applications. ISL43640IU consists of a multiplexer and a demultiplexer with integrated analog switch for each port. The multiplexer is controlled by an input address, allowing one-to-one, one-to-multi, multi-to-one, or multi-to-multi switching. The demultiplexer receives an input signal, and convert it into multiple outputs according to the input address. Depending on the mode that is set, the multiplexer can select a single output from multiple inputs, or multiple outputs from multiple inputs. Both components use a low on resistance CMOS switch with a wide range of control voltage, which is further improved by the integrated power control circuit.
